Troubleshooting guide
- Ensure all cables are correctly connected: Verify that the power and fiber optic cables are securely connected to the ONT (Optical Network Terminal) and the router.
- Inspect for damage: Look for any visible damage to cables, connectors, or devices.
- Power cycle the router and ONT:
• Unplug the router and ONT from the power source.
• Wait for 30 seconds.
• Plug them back in and wait for the devices to reboot entirely.
- SSID and Password: Ensure you connect to the correct Wi-Fi network (SSID) and enter the correct password.
- Router Settings: Check that your router settings have not been altered.
Use a speed test tool to check if you receive the expected internet speeds. Compare the results with your service plan. We suggest www.speedtest.net or www.fast.com. Wi-Fi speeds can vary depending on the capability of each device. Not all devices can achieve the maximum Wi-Fi speeds.
- Wi-Fi Interference: Ensure your router is placed in a central location, away from large metal objects and other electronic devices that can cause interference.
- Pause large downloads or streaming: Temporarily halt bandwidth-heavy activities to see if the internet speed improves.
- Contact customer support: If you have tried all the above steps but are still experiencing issues, contact Kudzu Networks customer support to find out about any reported outages in your area or for further assistance.
